Wisconsin's Program

How can MEETAP help you manage your energy costs?

†††††††††††††† MEETAP provides the experience and expertise for quality assurance, project negotiation, overall project management, and monitoring and verification procedures

†††††††††††††† MEETAP staff will help you create a baseline of your building and vehicle usage, so you know where you energy dollars are going. Then we will help you create a plan to reduce your energy burden

Advantages of Wisconsinís Municipal Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance Program:

†††††††††††††† Performance contracting is authorized under chapter 66.0133 of the WI Municipal code, MEETAP staff will help you understand and comply with the law

†††††††††††††† DOE maintains a list of pre-qualified Energy Service Companies (ESCOs), MEETAP has many ESCO contacts and will assist with the initial survey and RFP process

†††††††††††††† MEETAP will assign an experienced energy engineer to represent your interests

†††††††††††††† You (the owner) select the energy service company you wish to work with through a competitive process

†††††††††††††† MEETAPís energy engineer will work with you (the Owner) to facilitate equipment and subcontractor selection

†††††††††††††† MEETAP can help with information on low-interest Board of Commissioners of Public Lands financing

†††††††††††††† Verification of savings reports are provided by the ESCO and reviewed by MEETAP staff- one of the first things that MEETAP can do for you is to help you write a plan to control your energy costs and verify the savings guarantees made by the ESCO (without paying extra fees)
