EPA Green Power

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG - Recovery)

 

Wisconsin received $11.7 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

 

This funding was divided among three programs: 

  1. Municipal building retrofits and energy efficient lighting ($9.5 million).
  2. Grants to Energy Independent Communities to develop plans for achieving 25x25 ($500,000).
  3. Grants to organizations to develop a statewide, publicly accessible, Outreach and Education Program around renewable energy ($1.4 million).

This grant closed on March 6, 2013. Any questions can be directed to the EECBG Program Manager, Holly O'Higgins.
